Control Risks: Extreme political, security and travel threat

State Department: Travel warning
The United States doesn't have an embassy, or any other diplomatic outpost, in Somalia, putting American citizens who travel here entirely out of reach of assistance from the U.S. Inter-clan fighting and attacks on relief workers and journalists are frequent, and especially in the Mogadishu area, territorial demarcations are arbitrary and change often. Vessels near the coast of Somalia risk being seized and held for ransom by pirates. The Indian Ocean along the Horn of Africa and Kenyan border is extremely unsafe. Inland, the Kenyan border has been the site of extreme violence, including grenade attacks on hostels.

Interesting Olympic Facts

The Official Olympic Flag
Created by Pierre de Coubertin in 1914, the Olympic flag contains five interconnected rings on a white background. The five rings symbolize the five significant continents and are interconnected to symbolize the friendship to be gained from these international competitions. The rings, from left to right, are blue, yellow, black, green, and red. The colors were chosen because at least one of them appeared on the flag of every country in the world. The Olympic flag was first flown during the 1920 Olympic Games.
